Repair Overview

If in the unlikely event of your device going wrong, the Instrotech policy is to carry out warranty repairs in-house, wherever possible, to avoid the delay of sending items back to the manufacturer.

The Instrotech repair service applies to ALL your test equipment, wherever you bought it. Our engineers have wide experience of both repairs and calibration and all our workshop staff have, or are studying for, appropriate technical qualifications.

As a guideline repairs to hand held instruments average about £85.

Many products now have a fixed price for repairs so you can confidently assess the cost and make a decision about repair and replacement.

Please note that many apparently defective products are due to user error or dead batteries, damaged leads or blown fuses. Please check these items first if your meter does not work.

We are happy to quote for repairs on items you send to us. There is no inspection charge but if you do not proceed with the repair, there will be a £7.50 return carriage charge.

Our turn round target for repairs is 5 working days from approval of quote but we can be subject to delays outside our control in obtaining parts and information.

A courier collection service is also available and goods can be collected or returned by a next day courier service (currently UPS) at a cost of £7.50 per batch each way.
