Founded in 1928, Martindale Electric Company Ltd has maintained a reputation for manufacturing long lasting and hard wearing test instruments. Until recently, Martindale was most famous for the Classic Check Plug which was developed over 30 years ago. Since then, over 1,000,000 units have been sold.

Nowadays, Martindale is striving to produce unique, value for money products which benefit electricians in day to day tasks. For example, the innovative fuse finder took away the hassle of needing two people to perform a one man job, thus saving time and preventing costly mistakes.

Over the last few years, Martindale have doubled their product portfolio to provide electricians with a more comprehensive range of electrical test equipment.

 

The range now includes 17th Edition installation testers, multimeters, clamp meters, portable appliance testers and thermometers.

Following extensive R&D, which lead to a patent application, Martindale has launched a new socket tester with earth loop impedance called the E-Ze Check™ Xtra. This does not trip RCDs and checks at a fraction of the cost of competitive test equipment. Martindale sells through electrical distributors worldwide and has recently introduced a new packaging style and P.O.S. materials to assist its distributors.
